I spent two weeks in University of California, Santa Barbara, for the Summer School on Materials in 3D. Everything was great except for the duration of the lectures, 90 minutes. All the people in the picture below survived, though. For me,
Allosphere demonstration was the most exiting part of the summer school. Allosphere offers a unique platform to combine science, arts, and education. Professor JoAnn Kuchera-Morin has worked three decades for this scientific instrument, for her TED talk
click here. Overall, summer school made me think about peridynamic simulations, which I did at the beginning of my Ph.D. studies. So, I might start doing some 3D fracture simulations.
