I got the Kordestani Endowed Chair position

I joined the San Jose State University in August and recently got the Kordestani Endowed Chair position for my research projects. I would like to thank the professors: Guna Selvaduray, Melaine McNeil, Folarin Erogbogbo, Richard Chung, Essam Marouf, and our dean Andrew Hsu for their support. The Kordestani Endowed Chair position provides research funds, which I will use to support graduate and undergraduate students to do research on various projects. Our current research focus is to understand the reliability and mechanical behavior of biomimetic structures that are made using additive manufacturing. Another area we are exploring is textured ceramics for higher reliability, improved piezoelectric properties, and shape memory applications.
